(More customer reviews)This is a very high quality pet carrier tote and it will definitely fit under the seat in front of you when traveling on the airplane. My dog weighs six pounds but she has very long skinny legs so she wasn't able to stand up in it. The medium size would be more appropriate for her. I returned the small tote and was refunded and now I just use my girlfriend's medium Sherpa. Anyway, the feature that I love about this tote is the roll-up sides. By blacking the sides out, my dog thinks that it is time to take a nap. On the flip side, I can keep one side open if I choose to. My dog feels comfortable in the Sherpa.

(More customer reviews)I am amending my review now that I have used it a few times. This stroller would not fit a 20lb dog! My dog is 10lb and barely fits! The wheels constantly get stuck now that I have used it a few times - haven't used it that many times as it is in our vacation home. On the plus side, she can see out of all the mesh windows. Pet Gear has a much better Stroller (more money but worth it) with three wheels (get the one where the wheel in the front moves - you can also lock in place for jogging)

(More customer reviews)I just bought this last week, and so far- it's doing a great job.
Advantages:
-The bedding stays inside the cage, even though she loves to burrow.
-It's easy to attach fun-nels to (although my pet wants nothing to do with them- she's either strange for a dwarf hamster, or a bit uncertain, being only a baby)
-The cage is petite and doesn't take up much space. However, she still has plenty of room, even with a small igloo in there.
-It's well ventilated and secure, so she can breathe easily without me fearing her escaping.
-The roof is easy to remove in order for cleaning
Disadvantages:
-I ended up throwing out the water bottle after a couple of hours because she couldn't figure out how to use it. I bought her a separate water bottle and she was very parched, drinking for several minutes before settling down. I heard others don't have problems with it though, so again, it could be that she's so young and gets frustrated easily.
-I think the food bowl, while in a convenient place, is sort of small, but that's only my personal opinion.
-The "silent and safe" wheel is safe, but you could never call it silent. At all. I always know when she's awake (around 3 a.m. every night) because her running wakes me up.
-I wish there was another door on the side of the cage, or that there was a removable tray, but that's just me being picky.
After reading other product reviews and getting feedback from other hamster owners, I still say this is worth the price and the easiest design with the least bit of fuss. It may be a bit too small for a regular sized Syrian hamster, but for a dwarf, mouse, or gerbil- it's perfect!

(More customer reviews)I have a 20 lb puggle who uses this seat. It attached easily to my rear bike rack. In less than 10 minutes I was able to stap it on securely and set her in for a ride. She really enjoys the seat and it secures her in safely. I was surprised at how bulky the seat is though. It is definitely HEAVVILY padded and takes up quite a bit of room on your bike. Certainly not a purchase for smaller dogs! All and all this product is exactly what I expected and would reccommend. I just wish it came in another color!

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my min pin who just loves being held but at 14 lbs is a little too heavy for me to carry around everywhere. This wrap solves that problem. He loves being close to my body and my hands are free to do whatever.
There was no specific sizing information available on this page when I ordered so I think I bought it too big but I'm impatient and didn't want to wait to exchange it. So for others who are reading this, here is what their website ([...])/the carrier box says about sizing: XS = women's size 0-4, Men's suit size NA; S carrier = women's size 6-8, men's suit size up to 38; M carrier = women's 10-12, men's 39-42; L carrier = women's 14-16, men's 43-46; XL carrier = women's 18-22, men's 47-50. If you are 5'4" or under: CHOOSE SMALLER SIZE; Only choose larger size if you are 6 feet or taller.
Otherwise, I like the fact that the carrier is washable and it folds up small so it can be shoved in a purse easily to take on a trip. It does take some practice to figure out/remember the positions but there are instructions with helpful pictures in the manual that comes with the carrier. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because since the material is so flexible, it gets twisted up easily and can be difficult to untwist/adjust while on your body. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this carrier to others with small dogs who enjoy being held close to their owners.

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my 8 year old shi tzu so we could take her places and we planned on taking her on a huge trip. she fit perfectly in it. I liked that i could lift the hood so she didnt feel trapped and you could unhook it from the stroller and tie the bed down in the car for a car seat. then the stroller part would fold up and could be thrown in the back of the car. my dog didnt mind riding around at all and rarely jumped out. the sides and front have pockets to keep her toys in. then by the handle there are cup holders for when you are going for a run or walk outside. these are usually allowed into stores with the hood closed.

(More customer reviews)We got this carrier for our newly adopted 9 lb. cat, Ella. She HIGHLY disliked traveling when we got her, and getting her into the carrier was an exercise in will and ferocity. (Because we are suckers and first-time pet parents, she won the first time--we did postpone her initial vet check-up!!) However, all it took was some treats and firmness and one vet visit (after which she was HAPPY to return to her carrier to get out of the office) to completely change her mind. When we got home, she started taking naps in her carrier and playing in it, jumping out of it to surprise her brother, etc. Now, she has even gone with us on walks around the neighborhood, and likes peering out through the screened side at the world. (I think this is a real advantage of this bag--she feels very secure but can position herself so that she can easily see what is going on.) And from my perspective, it's as easy to carry as a purse, right over my shoulder. And, if I'm worried about her, I don't have to open up the bag at all and risk her jumping out. I can get in close to the mesh and look through and make sure she's all right.
In terms of durability, the metal-type mesh on the inside has "bent" in a few places from her scratching, but it hasn't torn at all. The double layer of mesh is really durable, and still attractive. All in all, it's a great carrier for her. We haven't flown with her, but if we had to, I'm confident it would do the job well.
One thing to be aware of--it IS too small for our 13.5 lb. big boy of a cat. (And he's even a little underweight--believe it or not.) He wishes that he could fit in it--he loves the thing--but he doesn't really have enough room to turn around in it. It just isn't the right size carrier for a larger cat.

The zoomed photo looks like fabric, but it is molded plastic. The inside of the bag is soft. But the color wears off the outside plastic fairly quickly.

(More customer reviews)I just finished the return leg of my first trip using this bag, and I couldn't be happier with it. My 13-pound terrier mix is a very nervous traveler, panting constantly and had even chewed holes in a Sherpa bag during previous trips. She seemed more at ease when I let her poke her head out, so I scoured the Internet looking for a bag that allowed her to do that but but also gave the option of closing the "porthole," when appropriate. Enter the Universal Sport Bag Plus. When the bag first arrived I was immediately struck by the great craftsmanship. It was very sturdy--no loose strings or other signs of shoddy construction. It also came with multiple straps and instructions for all the different ways it can be carried (shoulder straps vs. handle, etc.)
Most importantly, though, at the airport and during the flight my dog was 1,000 times more calm than she had been in the other bag. No more crazy panting and feverish scratching to get out. The ability to stick her head out totally alleviated her anxiety! Whew.
One thing: Although some descriptions say these bags can accommodate dogs up to 20 pounds, I think 15 pounds would be the limit. My dog is about the size of a female Jack Russell, and if she were bigger I don't think it would be easy to zip her inside.
If you have a small dog and are looking for a travel bag, this one is absolutely worth the money!

(More customer reviews)I recently purchased this product to accommodate the addition of 2 kittens to the household. I was tired of the hard plastic airline-style travel cases that alienate pets and don't have much to offer in the way of comfort or visibility.
I was pleasantly pleased with the quality of this case for the price (I paid $24 for a new one when they were on sale). The leather is soft and supple with a nice texture such as you would find with other luggage quality carry on bags. The removable hard floor of the case is covered with a lambs wool type material and holds the collapsible sides upright when put in place. Unit folds up flat for storage when floor is removed. Mesh appears to be heavy duty enough to stand up to long term use. Has side zipper pocket to hold pet's favorite toy or supplies. Has both carry handles and shoulder strap, complete with luggage tag. I also liked that the carrier opens up on the side as shown in Amazon photo, but also has a "top loader" zipper for those pets reluctant to enter.
The size is perfect for small or toy breed dogs (Yorkie, Poodle, Pomeranian, etc.) and cats for extended traveling. It is big enough to comfortably transport 2 medium or smallish cats or two toy breeds for short trips like going to the vet or groomer.

I thought I was buying a bed but what I got was a cage mat to lay on the bottom of my dogs crate. If you are looking for a bed, don't buy this item. I gave it three stars because the quality is good but the item description is deceiving.
