(More customer reviews)The gate extension quality is fine. However, nowhere in the description on Amazon does it tell you an extension cannot be added on to another extension. In short, we bought a gate that was just short for our opening and bought this thinking we could add it on. Not so! After opening the product, there are warnings all over the place to not add the extension on to an extension. If your opening is too big, you need to get the 7" or larger extension (we wanted to add the 3.5" to another 3.5" that came with the gate). We are returning.

(More customer reviews)This item is great. It comes with additional side pieces that make it adjustable for any sized opening. There is no permanent mounting equipment, but the adjustable mounts are really easy to use and actually holds pretty strong. My husband and I have bumped into the gate pretty hard at times when we aren't looking where we are going and it hasn't fallen down. The mounts are also good for different width situations, because each one can be adjusted in and out as needed (for example: on baseboard, versus wall.) The door closure is super easy to open, even with one finger... I had to do that when carrying in groceries. The height would be good for large dogs, and it is perfect for my jumpers. It would be good for toddlers too, so long as they can't reach the easy door mechanism.
