(More customer reviews)I purchased this for a new puppy. It is much bigger than she needs, but I wanted her to be able to grow into it, as puppys need to be confined for their own protection for up to a year or so. It certainly would be capable of doing this.
When I first got it, right out of the box, one side was slightly bent and leaned a bit. I literally got the puppy the same day the playpen arrived, so I did not have any time to return it. I should have found a way. I just thought it could be fixed beacause it is flexible. Not so. I now have to put a shoe string thru the mesh and tie it to something stable to make it hold it's shape. The teeth in the zipper to the top of the playpen have broken out in places, so it can only be unzipped part way. The picture shows straps on the side to put a water bottle for the pet. There is no hole for the spout in this one, so you cannot water your pet this way. I have seen others that have a spot for this and you do not have to put the water in the pen in a dish. There is no way this is going to last as long as I need it to. If I would have known that, I would have bought a smaller one to begin with and bought a larger one later on. It would have saved me some money. Now I will have to buy a large one again in a few months. The next one I buy I will look around and get a little better quality. Live and learn!
On the positive side-it is a lifesaver for my white carpet and a new puppy! She is well contained and safe where she cannot chew on anything that will get ruined or hurt her. I can have her in the room with my other two dogs and she can feel like she is a part of everything and have a barrier between them. She has lots of visiblity thru the mesh. The bottom of the playpen is easily cleaned.

(More customer reviews)We bought and used this as a dog kennel for a time and it served that purpose well. It is pretty sturdy when assembled, but make sure you use a lock, caribiner, or pin on the gate latch. However, it is easy for a dog to dig out under the sides if you place this kennel on dirt, and I would recommend the shade cover for the top if your dog is an escape artist. Now that we don't need this for a dog, our plans are to use it as a garden fence since it is small enough that the deer won't jump into it. Because of the digging from jackrabbits, we may try raising it on a couple of rows of keystone blocks. 4 stars because it's sturdily built, but you may have to make modifications for your dog. Another big plus is that it is easily moved to another location.

(More customer reviews)We bought this for a visiting Morkie. It's a great size, could fit a larger dog (medium). My Shiba Inu's loved to go in there as well. It was so easy to set up. Comes with a rectangular carry case that is good for traveling but a little too awkward for airline travel. Also comes with a mesh cover that zips into the top of the pen if the dog is a jumper. We were able to put a potty pad and dog dishes in there with room for the dog to move around easily. The sides unzip for the dog to be able to walk in and out during the day. Just a lot of nice features and the price was so much less than the others I found online and in stores.

(More customer reviews)This product is absolutely INCREDIBLE. I have a chihuahua who's almost 11 years old, and has occasional accidents. Since having the carpeting replaced, and not wanting to put her into a claustrophobic kennel (just seemed wrong), I went for this product. It's so roomy! and the design is feminine, sturdy, lightweight and open. The gate is so well made and very cute and useful.
For those of use who work and need to keep our pets in a controlled area when we can't watch for accidents, this pet pen is a livesaver, and my dog absolutely loves it. There's enough room for a small oil-filled heater, her large burrow bed and blankets, water bowl, bone-chewing/play area. Also, I sectioned off a small area for her potty pads, so she doesn't have to "hold it" when I'm gone for longer periods of time. The pen is so roomy, that there's plenty of distance between the potty pads, her bed, and water dish. You can also customizing the shape of the pen. It's the greatest!
In terms of waterproofing, I lined the bottom with a shower curtain from the dollar store and topped with a queen-sized quilt. It's soft and comfy and accident-proof! Even my cat sneaks in there to catch a few winks.
This is so much better than a kennel or keeping your pet in the bathroom while you're away.

The Iris pen has stood the test of time, and has saved my dog from having to be in a confined, oppressive area while I'm away at work during the day. Today, I am purchasing another of these pens, which will serve as fencing around the patio of my small cottage. Can't think of a more perfect weather resistant, durable, SAFE fence for my dog (and cat who can't jump high distances) to play within outdoors. Two of these pens linked together will provide a rather large fenced area (over 12 feet).

Believe that from a distance, the fencing might appear as a picket fence. This will not only serve to keep the pets safe, but will look sharp and never dry rot or warp. Seriously, this is the most versatile, liberating pet product on the market. Can't wait to see my pets coming and going through their own pet door into the fenced patio, and be outside whenever they please to catch the late morning/afternoon sun (when it's out!). Will cover a portion of the fencing with some type of tarp for when it rains.
How cool is this product? Still say this is the best purchase I've ever made on Amazon, and I buy lots of stuff.

It's big enough to put a training pad in and a blanket plus all of their toys. This is an excellent playpen for small dogs. I love that it folds up and goes into a carry case so we can take it everywhere and it's very easy to clean when they have little puppy accidents.

I live in the Midwest and we have so many storm alerts during the spring and summer where I often need to go to my basement. Unfortunately I can't block off the unfinished crawl space and don't want my cat venturing there, so I bought this so that I can keep my cat safe and comfortable while we wait out the storm. It's very roomy and because my cat is declawed he can't scratch the mesh surrounding the playpen. It has a travel case and there is virtually no set up - just take it out of the travel bag and it practually sets itself up. I bought the leopard print and it's really great looking. Though my cat is an indoor cat, I may take him outside in this playpen because there are four stakes included for use in grass. Because the hinges don't lock, a dog can throw its weight against the pen and move the entire thing. A baby gate in the kitchen at the same height worked better. This might work for say, puppies, in a supervised area. Not worth the $94 I paid.

Precision Pet Ultimate Exercise Pen Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this for two purposes. The main one was to block the 81" opening from my kitchen into my dining room and second was as a pen to take with me when I go camping. The best feature of this pen is the fact that I can position it in numerous ways. As a barrier, I can position it in a "T" and have a section that I can swing open and close (it's two panels back to back); plus the base of the "T" acts as an anchor so the fence doesn't fall over. Of course a larger dog (my dog weighs 6 lbs.) would be able to knock it over, but I can place a chair on the weak side of the fence to prevent this. Haven't used it camping yet but I like the fact that it is completely portable (with a handle) so that I can cart it easily.
