(More customer reviews)I bought this carrier for my pet ferret Rolo ages ago, and even though he turned out to be a bigger boy, he still fit easily into this carrier as long as he curled up, but could no longer stretch out at all but it's plenty of space for vet trips, or everyday trips around town. The carrier is nice and light, so there is almost no added weight. However the carrier is still very sturdy, the walls are lined with flexible plastic, and the fabric is a high density thread count so it is chew proof and prevents it from getting wrecked from scratching. The mesh windows are very sturdy, and even after having Rolo scratch at them a bit, it still looks brand new. The base pad is removable and totally machine washable, and the inside is easy to wipe clean. Also, when not in use the carrier folds down so it doesn't take up a ton of space. There are only two reasons I didn't give this bag a 5/5 and it is because it probably isn't airline approved. However, at the moment all airline agents (Air Canada + Westjet) are crazy and believe that ferrets can shred through reinforced plastic and high density fabric so they are not allowed on board anyway, but that is one reason. The other, is that I found the bag tilted a bit as I was walking, so unless I steadied the bag with one hand it tilted in towards me. This could have easily been fixed if the straps were placed differently. My older brother and his girlfriend inherited this bag from me for their dwarf bunny, and it is roomy for him so they love it. They also appreciated how easy it was to clean as their bunny was not so adamant about using a litter box as Rolo is. I swear he holds it in, because the moment we get home and I let him out he races to the litter box. Anyway before I start rambling further, this is great bag, all around, just make sure its big enough, and that you don't plan to fly with it. (But if it turns out you can fly with it, the double zippers make it easy to zip tie and secure.) Even the slight tilting is not that big of an issue, I only noticed it as I walk a lot and take Rolo with me when I go places. Anyway, great bag, highly recommended for ferrets and rabbits.
