Toto Too Pet Car Seat Review

(More customer reviews)I was very excited about this car seat, as it appeared to be large enough for my 12 pound shih tzu, yet would fit on a smaller console (9 inches wide). In that sense, it lived up to my expectations. I have to say, that the construction of the brace and the attachments is very good.
BUT - the seat itself is the problem. The front and sides do not have any structure to hold them upright. My dog likes to scrunch down and brace herself against the walls, with her head over the front edge, but it just wasn't sturdy enough to stand up. She ended up leaning against my (driving) arm. If they replace the seat with a sturdier one, I will definitely consider repurchasing.

(More customer reviews)Although the company that sells this is a great company, this product is DANGEROUS! I have a Jack Russell; 15 pounds. The seat is too shallow for any dog over 3 pounds to sit in. The feeding bowl does not stay in place and refuses to stay on the seat unless you tape it on. But the most serious is the seat itself! The legs are wobbly and not sturdy. I made sure they were open as far as they could go; snapped in place, yet they still collapsed WHILE MY DOG WAS IN THE SEAT! She was injured (though not seriously).
Also, the cushion does not stay in place, so the dog ends up on the hard plastic with nothing to protect them.
Stay away from this seat!

(More customer reviews)We recently bought a mid-size SUV and wanted something to prevent our two dogs from jumping over the back seats and keep them safe in the trunk area during our trips. We also have a baby on the way and wanted to keep her safe as well. We've had this on for about a month now and it's been working great. It didn't take long at all to install and I like the fact that it doesn't have the "cage look" like some of the other pet barriers I was looking at. I did a lot of research on this and the Highland one turned out to be a good deal. We installed the extension kit as well, although this is only needed if you have the back seats down. You don't need the extension kit if you're not planning to lower your back seat. The two bars that come with the original package will work fine.

This adjustable and easily installed set of rails keeps him back in his area without creating a big barrier, does not interfere with the driver's rear view and -- miracle of miracles -- does not rattle after a month or so of steady use. Reviews and my suspicions about cheaper alternatives convinced me this unit would work best. It certainly works for us. Of course, your experience may vary, depending on the exact configuration of rear seat headrests, interior shape and other factors. All of the unit's horizontal and vertical rods can be adjusted to fit your car's interior, and the clamping system on the headrests is very firm. The Bice is solidly made, easily adjustable, and easily removed if you want to reclaim the space and drop the rear seats. Top marks.

(More customer reviews)This is not a terribly expensive product and for the price, it works ok. It easily fit my Jeep Cherokee--no need for the extensions which was nice. However, it required modifications for it to stay in place. The screws which are supposed to hold the cross pieces in place do not tighten enough and my dog was able to push between the cross pieces and slide them apart! My husband used clamps to secure the cross pieces and they now work fine. The device could use some spring tension to tighten it between floor and ceiling as well because it can get knocked out of place (without even loosening). All that being said, if you are handy with a few tools, this barrier works well and is rather streamlined and unobtrusive.

I didn't want him running all over the front seat, getting nervous, and sometimes having an accident. This seat elevates him and hold him securely so he can be comfortable and sit in the seat. He can see out the front and side car windows so he is very happy. Now we will be able to go more places together.
The seat is very well constructed and is easily attached to the front passenger seat with three straps. I think it will last a long time.
I would recommend this to anyone. By the way, they come in differnt sizes to accomodate dogs of different weights.
