It goes up in a flash--the easiest crate I've assembled yet--but I do want to caution owners that the sides are primarily mesh and a strong dog can escape fairly easily. I recommend the crate for supervised use only but for my purposes it works wonderfully.

The seller was quick to process my return and ship my new crate. I do recommend a small lock or paper clip on the zipper if your dog is a houdini like mine. When we travel he spends more time sitting on top of his crate when he has to stay alone in the car or hotel room. I am thoroughly pleased with my purchase.

This one takes a good while to zip both ends which is what holds it together. The Remington you just pull up on two rods one on each side and it's done. What keeps this out of 5 stars is the construction on the bars is a little light weight and I have to be careful every time I put it together. Also would like to see rubber caps provided that cover the hard edge of the poles to avoid possible fabric rub/wear through when the crate is stored.

Boots & Barkley® Large Pop Open Dog Kennel Review

(More customer reviews)I use this kennel to transport my puppy (Bernese Mtn Dog) to and from work in my car and to keep him in my office (he is crate training). It has worked great. At home, it is his "play pen" and I leave the zipper open while he runs in and out of it playing with his toys. He has taken it upon himself to store ALL his toys in there.
At first, he was reluctant about being inside the crate and used his paws complete with sharp puppy claws to try to force himself out. He also tried to chew on the outer edges and find the zipper to open it. With proper training and patience, he now knows it's his "home" and respects it. No damage was done to the crate from his fits.
I don't leave him in this crate unsupervised for more than 15 minutes so I cannot attest to how it will hold up during frustrating periods (he has a heavy duty night crate in his bedroom which he does dig at during the night when playing with his Kong). Right now, he has plenty of space for his toys and a bed and mostly sleeps in it. As previously mentioned, in the car, it keeps him put, but I don't use the seatbelt loops since it is a little big for strapping in lengthwise and didn't bother trying.
I can't seem to fold it back to its original small round size, but I can easily fold it flat, which makes it easy to carry and store.
It's not a permanent crate for him. It's a temporary spot for him to be safe during the day and properly potty train.

I taped the metal back together because it collapsed. I now have to use the crate upside down so that it will stand up. Other that that it worked great for our Shitzu. Wish there was a way to get a new metal frame without buying a whole new crate.

NOZTONOZ Sof-Krate Indoor/Outdoor Pet Home Review

(More customer reviews)We purchased two of these crates for our 60 lb dogs over 2 months ago. The 42" size is quite large, in fact, both dogs can sleep comfortably together in one. The crates are like cozy, mini tents and my husband and I joke that we'd like to sleep in them. They are very light to move around, and easy to fold up or down.
We've had two problems. One is that our newest dog (a year old puppy) chewed through one of the zippers within the first week. We solved that problem with some training, and we still use the crate with that opening against the wall. So obviously not for chewers.
The second problem is the most concerning for me. Other people have mentioned the smell... I can't state this strongly enough - these crate smell like a petroleum product. We initially had the crates in our great room, and sure enough the smell seemed to go away after a few weeks. We recently moved the crates into our bedroom and discovered that in fact, they do still smell. Strongly enough that I'm concerned about the effect on our dogs overtime. We usually don't zipper the doors anymore, so the dogs can come and go as they please and they are still choosing to go in their crates (like I said earlier - cozy!). But the smell bothers me, so I can imagine how it must bother the dogs who have a much more keen sense of smell.
The prices on these crates keep going down (other websites sold them a while back retail for $180) so I would imagine that they are aware of the smell problem....

I WISH I had purchased this crate before I bought the hard sided crate. We travel frequently with our dog, and this is our travel crate. She absolutely loves it. She doesn't even have to be coaxed in with a treat. She feels safe and secure, and she hasn't even thought about chewing her way out. I think the 32" size will be perfect for her as an adult dog -- she will be about 45 lbs. This is very easy to set up and take down and so lightweight to move once it's set up (unlike our hard sided crate that pretty much stays in one room at home!). If you are considering a soft-sided crate, this one is absolutely perfect!

(More customer reviews)We were skeptical of putting a teething yellow lab pup in a fabric crate, but when we saw this in a local store, we were impressed! Very sturdy and tight! Extemely well made.
We bought the E36, even though it was a little small for a full size labrador retriever, and we're glad we did. It's perfect for him now; he's 9 weeks old and he took to it like a den. He walks right in when he's tired. A few minor corrections about not mouthing it, along with a few great toys and rawhide chews, and he's been absolutely fine. He loves it.
It's surprisingly nice to be able to open the top as well. We can pick him right up and carry him outside after a nap.
I would recommend using a little softened bar soap on the zippers, because they're very tight. And of course, I can't recommend leaving a teething pup in it for long hours. Nor would you put an aggresive or vicious animal in this crate.
We keep it right in our bedroom and the zipper jingles when he scratches the door. We get up and lift him out and bring him to the door. Fabulous!
By the time he outgrows this crate, he probably won't need it, but I may have to buy him the larger one anyway just because he loves it!

(More customer reviews)The product is a well made product. I use it for transportation of my cat. Even with her trying to claw her way out on occasion, the product, as of yet, shows no signs of wear. The carrier is a great size for cats or small dogs. Perhaps a better product for dog owners as a cat may try to claw itself out of the cloth carrier. Despite the durable materials used in this product, given time, an animal would likely be able to scratch its way through. Carrier folds nicely and can be easily stored out of sight in a small apartment--much better than the hard plastic carriers that take up a greater amount of space. Overall, the product has proven to be worth the cost.
