DoggyRide Novel Urban Review

(More customer reviews)This is a well designed, well constructed cruise ship for dogs. Materials are of excellent quality, the linkage cleverly manages communication between the bike and the carriage, very rugged (excellent off-road) and the whole thing deconstructs quickly and easily for transport/storage. My aging hound recently had a dislocated hip. Rehab was a snap, we just rode our usual routes with the carriage and off-loaded the dog for stretches along the way. He seems to love it and it is great exercise for the person doing the peddling (try hauling an extra 100 lbs up a steep grade). I'd recommend the DoggyRide Novel to anyone looking to do right by their best friend.

Springer Bicycle Jogger Review

(More customer reviews)My wife and I have three dogs and we got this at the same time as a Walky Dog to see which one was better before buying a third attachment (as a second one for my bike).
The Springer was a lot more bulky but had a lot of play in it where the cotter pin holds it into place. The cord and plastic hook on the leash end and connector on the rope end are a joke. I realize it is supposed to be a safety feature but one of our dogs was able to easily tug it off. The Springer also allows more room to roam vs. the Walky Dog which means it is easier to veer off to the side of the bike and end up behind the wheel.
The installation of the Springer took a little more time than the Walky Dog. However, the Spinger doesn't move around the pole like the Walk Dog has a tendency to do.
In the end, we ended up buying two other Walky Dogs and are going to try to sell the Springer. If you still determined to buy a Springer, be prepared to make some modifications to the leash system unless you have a small dog that can't pull loose or you like to play a game of hide and seek with your dog if they like to run away on you.

Bright Steps Reflective Leg Band for Dogs Review

(More customer reviews)We often walk and jog with our dogs in the early morning and late evening hours, and I've always wanted a product just like this. Unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. My 55-60 pound dogs should fit nicely into the middle range of the medium size bands, but the bands have very little elastic stretch to them and are nearly impossible to get over the dogs' feet; I just don't have the patience to try to squeeze them over all eight feet every time I take the dogs for a walk. I think the dogs would quickly tire of such an uncomfortable routine as well. They would be wonderful if the bands had a velcro attachment so you could just wrap them on and go. On the plus side, they seem well made and the red color and reflective stripes are nice and bright.

The only thing I did not care for was that if I needed to pull them away from something, I would pull, the leash would stretch alot, then it would pull the dogs back. It is very stretchy.

(More customer reviews)Harnesses are very difficult to buy. Michiko (the dog) seems to finds most harnesses uncomfortable and runs when ever she sees them. I have tried numerous and I think she finds there is to much pressure on her chest. I saw this one and decided to give it a try. She likes it very much. Since the area over the chest on this harness is much larger, the pressure caused by pulling is distributed more evenly. She sits very calmly when putting it on and gets very excited when she sees it because she knows its walk time. Its a snap to put it on and take off. I have a Shiba Inu and the small size fits her perfectly and she looks absolutely adorable it in.

Dog Bike Basket - Pet Bicycle Seat (Dog Car Seat) - Gray Review

(More customer reviews)This is a great item for someone who has a small dog like I do. I have a 9 lb toy poodle who loves the outdoors and is very mellow when sitting in the basket riding. I don't have to worry about him trying to jump out of the basket while in motion.
The only bad thing about this basket is that it isn't as stable as I would like. If you go on a surface that isn't smooth the basket will swing from side to side a little which can startle the dog a bit until they get use to it. I don't worry about the basket falling off of the handle bars as it seems to be built well, but I wish I could fasten it more tightly to the bike. Overall, this is a great product that really comes in handy in my life.

(More customer reviews)This would be a great dog seat for a larger small dog (15-25 lbs). My dog is 12 lbs with a short stocky build and the seat was much bigger than necessary. It's huge on the back of your bike (sticks out in all directions), and kind of a hassle to mount. That being said, my neighbor's dog weighs 22 lbs and is too big for most dog bike seats - he fit perfectly in this seat and looked awfully comfortable. She bought it from me and it works great for him, although because of the effort to get it securely atached she doesn't use it often. Bottom line, it's not the most convenient, but it's a handy alternative to the smaller seats/baskets if your dog is pushing the weight limit.

The whole bowl is about the size of my Lab's mouth, so it will take some training to get him to drink from it. I left water in it overnight to see if it leaked, by the morning the bowl was moist on the outside but hadn't lost much fluid and didn't leave any puddles.

(More customer reviews)I have a 20 lb puggle who uses this seat. It attached easily to my rear bike rack. In less than 10 minutes I was able to stap it on securely and set her in for a ride. She really enjoys the seat and it secures her in safely. I was surprised at how bulky the seat is though. It is definitely HEAVVILY padded and takes up quite a bit of room on your bike. Certainly not a purchase for smaller dogs! All and all this product is exactly what I expected and would reccommend. I just wish it came in another color!

.. one thing everyone should take into play when purchasing any cart would be your dog. consider if your dog will actually go into this thing. this particular cart is very sturdy but a dog that won't enter a kennell cage won't ever consider a cart ride.
overall very nice product. would buy again.

Solvit HoundAbout Pet Bicycle Trailer Review

(More customer reviews)My dogs love it and don't mind that it rocks or moves, you can see from the photos that they even like sleeping in there. I coaxed the older one in with treats and just put the little puppy in, she's now 37 pounds and just jumps in... My dogs love it. Make sure you strap them in to keep them from trying to jump out if you want to keep the front window open. A couple small quirks like when you roll up the back window the velcro doesn't quite align correctly but I don't see that as enough of an issue to take away a star. We got the stroller conversion kit too and that did have a problem that one of the holes to put the cotter pin through to lock the handle in place wasn't in the right place and I had to re-drill it, nothing major since the functionality is still great. At half the price of some of the competing offerings I wholeheartedly endorse the Solvit dog trailer. I also like the shape of this one much better without a sloping front like some of the expensive competitors, the dogs are more comfortable and it fits a Costco load of groceries. I volunteer at the Humane Society and pack a lot of dogs into kennels and crates and I'd recommend that if your dog finds it too wobbly, take the wheels off and coax it into the trailer on flat ground a few times, maybe give the pup a meal in there and put in something that smells familiar and safe like a favorite blanket or pillow and remember to "click and treat."
Note, I posted the a nearly identical review for the same product from an outside vendor.

Snoozer Sporty Bike Basket, Red, Grey and Black Review

I have a 14 lb poodle mix, so she is pushing the size limitations. The extra weight on the handlebars makes it a bit harder to ride - especially if the dog wiggles, but it is manageable if you go slower.
The downsides:
1. The way the straps are designed it is a bit hard to get my dog in and out of the basket
2. The width makes it harder to access my brake levers (I have a small mountain bike, so this may be better on other bikes).
The upsides:
1. It is easy to install
2. My dog seems to like it
3. Now I can take her with me when riding!
Overall, I'd recommend it, but ride carefully!
