(More customer reviews)The sherpa akc duffle runs extremly small its great for small yorkie size 4lb pet there is no way that a pet 14lb could fit in this small carrier, its very small other than that is a great buy, and love the colors and fit under airlines seats very well with no hassle it really should be sized a small.

(More customer reviews)This carrier is not as wide as described! The floor width is only 9" across. It might be 15.2 at the widest area but that is in the middle of the wall, not where the animal lays. I saw in the picture that the walls slant inward, but I thought the floor was where the measurement was being taken from. I have a 5LB cat who when I put her in the carrier was not able to turn around or lay down on her side. She had to lay upright on all fours. When I called the company they were helpful as in talking me into keeping it or send it back for a bigger one at my own shipping expense. I pointed out the carried was not the dimensions they claimed... well, that's nice, pay shipping and we will sent a bigger one. Since I already paid almost half the cost in shipping, I decided to keep it for kittens, which is all it has room for.

(More customer reviews)Forget about cats...this is the ideal "man bag" for a guy with a small dog!! My husband and I have his and her Chihuahuas, and he calls this his "man bag" for carrying Rio. It looks like a briefcase or computer laptop case and he has taken his dog everywhere in this bag. We travel all over the country with our dogs, and they go into restaurants, stores, etc., in these bags. (I use the pink/brown bag with my dog, when I want to match, or the dogs will be in the bag for awhile...they are really comfortable for them for long periods of time to be in, as they are roomy.
The mesh is finer, so a cat can't get his claws into it to rip, plus there is a lot of storage in the side pockets. It's big enough so our dogs can sit if they want, but they usually just curl up and go to sleep or chew on a rawhide while inside.
A truly great bag, for cats OR dogs. Has a shoulder strap as well as a handle (like a briefcase). Sits nicely on the floor without falling over. We just love ours and use them constantly.

(More customer reviews)I've had the medium-sized Sherpa bag for two years and I am very happy with it. My 12 pound cat fits well in this carrier and even has room to turn around. Also, kitty never overheats in there because it is well-ventilated.
For air travel:
All of the openings are zippered so there is no chance of a mid-flight, stealth cat escape (if you've traveled with a cat, you know what I mean.) It's easy to carry and I have never had trouble getting it on an airplane, though, it does stick out from under the seat a bit. Normally, it is my only carry-on because it has enough room in the extra zippered pockets for my wallet, tickets, a small towel, magazines and a book.

Petmate Kennel Cab Fashion, Medium, Samba Red/Coffee Grounds Review

(More customer reviews)I just bought this carrier yesterday to bring a new cat home in. I picked it up at the local Petco store for about two dollars more than it is listed for here. While at the store I checked out all of the different models and brands. Though I was not impressed with any of them, the color scheme on this model was nice and the plastic moldings on this brand seemed just a bit better than the competition. So far, I am pleased with the purchase. This thing was easy to assemble (there are only three parts) and now that it is together it seems stronger that I would have guessed it would be. The handle is good quality and strong and the built in storage compartment in the top is a nice feature.
Unless you want to spend a lot more, I recommend this as the best buy out there!

(More customer reviews)The product is a well made product. I use it for transportation of my cat. Even with her trying to claw her way out on occasion, the product, as of yet, shows no signs of wear. The carrier is a great size for cats or small dogs. Perhaps a better product for dog owners as a cat may try to claw itself out of the cloth carrier. Despite the durable materials used in this product, given time, an animal would likely be able to scratch its way through. Carrier folds nicely and can be easily stored out of sight in a small apartment--much better than the hard plastic carriers that take up a greater amount of space. Overall, the product has proven to be worth the cost.
